Fr Quyen Vu's experiences as a teenage refugee fleeing Vietnam in the late 1970s have informed his religious calling: today he works among young people in the field of education in East Timor, a poor country in which educational resources are limited. His motivation is simple: to help students learn. 'If given the same opportunities as students in the United States and Australia, they would do very well,' he says.
