Fr Xavier Alpasa

Culion, Philippines. Social Entrepreneur

Fr Xavier was ordained as a Jesuit in April 2009 and soon after moved to the island of Culion, a former leper colony in the Palawan group in the Philippines. Here, he works as the parish priest, directs Loyola College Culion (LCC) a high school and tertiary college, and implements outreach projects among the indigenous Tagbanua people who live on surrounding islands. Fr Xavier uses his MA in Applied Business Economics and experience as a businessman to implement social enterprise projects within the community of Culion.
