Bob brings all the passion of an avid sportsman to the many roles he has played and continues to play in the field of education, both in Hazaribag and across the whole of India. Together with Ken McNamara, Bob helped educate from scratch a whole generation of young men and women from the villages of the Chechari Valley. He then went on to be headmaster of St. Xavier’s Hazaribag, and then of St Robert’s Hazaribag, helping to build up a unique relationship between the two schools, one English medium and the other Hindi medium. He was then appointed Secretary of Jesuit Education for the whole of India, returning from that role to be headmaster of the new high school of Charhi.
